During the Taihe reign of the Tang Dynasty, Chen Wang moved to Yimen Village in De'an. By the time of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty, nine generations of the family had lived together and prospered. In the fourth year of Zhonghe (884), Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty bestowed the name "Yimen Chen Family" and couplets on the family, which were later praised by nine emperors 29 times, demonstrating the family's reputation.
